Genie garage door questions......how do I turn the light off?

I wish I had the instructions......... Anybody have any idea how to turn the lights on/off on a Genie Blue Max? My remote only has one button and the opener is a doorbell type switch........... (honestly, my Craftsman in my other houses were way easier to use)

Screw/unscrew the lightbulb.

prolly have to buy a different garage door controller www.genie-garage-door-openers.com has parts and instructions on how to program it I know my parents has a three button one for the main garage controller and their car remotes have three buttons as well (dont ask what all three do cause only two work )

It's like the light bulbs in car trunks and refrigerators they never turn off

Sometimes there is a little power surge that will tell the light to turn. Since you just have the doorbell type button you can't send a signal to the opener to turn the light off. Try unpluging it for about five minutes or so.That might help.
