I had a guy in one of my engineering classes last semester that showed me a video of a rig just like that army rig, mid pivot deal.

Probably a Gamma Goat, which was a vehicle that the military tried out for a while, didnt work as well as this one. or It might of been a video of one of his previous rigs, twisty one was a 56 chev truck, then twisty two was a stretched flat fender, now this one is a chev frame with a 57 willies wagon grill and hood.

yea a couple of us made it all the way (except last obstacle) but most everyone made it up most of the trail. the launch had too much snow, and then a sheet of ice underneath it, didnt want to bother winching so we went back down the trail.

wow, that's impressive to make it so far with the snow. Thanks again for the trip report, I think this is one Utah's greatest trails.

it wasn't a vehicle from the military, was probably one of the guys previous rigs, I doubt there are many of that type of set up around.

DSCN2832.jpgDSCN2859.jpgDSCN2873.jpgDSCN2881.jpgI will try to add some pictures to this thread. Most of the original Hanging Tree group was there Sunday. Devon Parson, the patriarch of the group, couldn't make it and was sorely missed.

Its kinda strange in the snow, some places you can actually get through easier because the snow was set up and would let you glide over the diff catchers. other places that usually arent a challenge become challenging doing with very little traction.

Cool pix, thanks Russ. It always a good time when we get to wheel with you.

James, I down loaded all my pictures with Chad and Jeannette and with Pat and Tasheena, so call them if you would like to get the images. Probably use a jump drive to capture them easily.
