HOme made skid plate (samurai)

Well, I spent my day off today building a skid plate for my Samurai... I used 2 pieces of 1 1/2 " square tubing (1/4" wall) and a piece of 1/4" steel plate. I put the square tubing under the frame rails on each side and I welded the steel plate to the square tubing. The whole thing is held up with some L bolts. Just thought this would be helpful if someone didn't want to spend over a hundred bucks on a skidplate...

Very cool!! I need to get this done as well. Biggest problem I have is that with the coil setup on there an off the shelf aftermarked skid won't fit. Guess I need to fire up the Mig!!
