How do I embed my Google Earth map?

I'm loving the google map embedding feature in this version of vBulletin, but I"m having a tough time making my Google Earth routes embed.

Here's my map/route:
http://g.co/maps/rd5hh

But I can't make it embed using the
HTML:
[map]http://g.co/maps/rd5hh[/map]
function. Any ideas?

I'm only tinkering but I have made a temporary (MAP2) bbcode that supports the ?msid call. It looks like Google has changed the way it calls map files and coordinates. Might be time to update our map /map bbcode.

HTML:
[map2]msid=208091365770614480506.0004bf9ffdce90116a811&msa=0&ll=38.909736,-110.775146&spn=0.470187,0.725784&iwloc=0004bfa00890e54bb78b6[/map2]

[map2]msid=208091365770614480506.0004bf9ffdce90116a811&msa=0&ll=38.909736,-110.775146&spn=0.470187,0.725784&iwloc=0004bfa00890e54bb78b6[/map2]

Another way that already works is to make a KMZ file and host it somewhere... you can then put that link between your map /map codes. That's what we now do for the trail maps here on RME.

it also looks like if you input bad data it now doesn't load and asks you to download a js file from google. That's weird... I'm going to work on this more to see if we can get a fail proof way to embed better maps.

I don't speak 01010101.

I created that in the web-version of google earth. I don't know how to convert it to a .kmz yet, I'll need to experiment with that some more.

There's an option on the left side to download as KML, but that's a little different and doesn't quite work with our current map embed. I would love for it to work though.

hm... I'm not seeing it in the browser-based version of google earth.

EDIT: I'm a dufus. I found it. Thanks Shane!

Could be from the recent updates / changes they rolled out for maps recently. I'll look into it when I have some more free time.

At least it's a solution. I wish it would load from an attachment, but it won't. I already tried it.
Here's a thought, what about google drive or dropbox?

I wonder how many browsers this thread has crashed.
