I'm think the Raft river range, but Grouse Creek and Goose creek look good too.
Also the extreme NW are of the state looks interesting too.
Any thoughts?
Thx

The raft river range is the best spot to see some bucks but it gets hit HARD by rifle hunters. Portions of it turn into a literal trailer park overnight. However, most of them are ATV hunters and never get of the ATV trails.

Grouse creek and goose creek mountains have a few good deer, but lots of private land and quite a few CWMUs. Have a good land ownership map if you go there.

For any spot in the Box Elder unit you'll be way ahead of the curve if you scout a couple times before the hunt. The deer are there (there are lots of does), but the bucks are hard to find.

Kevin, do you think it will be as bad this year with the 29 area hunt? Can you recommend a place to camp? If the weather is bad, we might just camp in Snowville and drive in every day.

Well, Rollover and I just traded our tags in for the Cache Unit. We have hunted this unit for 22 years, so we are glad to be back.
We also found out they opened up the Crawford Mountains for open Rifle.
