I finally got my wife to the point where she actually wanted her own gun. Since this is her first gun I took her down to Salvo Guns in Layton which is a new place that opened up last year sometime. She held quite a few .22's and finally decided on the Sig Sauer Mosquito. Surprisingly the Walther P22 was actually too small for her hands and those were the two she liked the most out of the 10 or so she held.
We turned around and went straight into their range and after about 50 rounds she was starting to get comfy holding her new gun and started getting used to it. I think she put about 100 rounds through it today which was good for a start. I told her we can do this every tuesday as a new date night since women shoot free on tuesday's at Salvo Guns. This will be a great gun for her to get comfortable shooting. I think she ended up putting down some four inch groups at 15 feet by the time we were done which isn't too bad IMO for her first time out.
