i find myself walking in step with random objects next to my path.

ie.. walking down the hall at work, and stepping in line with the outlets or the breaks in the panneling. for some reason i tend to do this where ever i walk.

when i find myself taking extra long steps to reach the next object i make myself stop. it seems i have to make a conscies decision to not do this.:-\

naybe i have shared too much.:(

It's like driving to work. In my case there are many routes that usually take the same amount of time, but it just feels wierd going a different way.....

I think most people have a certain amount of obessive tendencies. I know I sure do! All of the clothes in our closets must hang in a certain direction. Thankfully, I'm the wash lady, so it's not much of an inconvenience to anyone else!

I agree and can see it strong in my kids. They amplify any activity that I do obsessively and really point out my compulsive behavior. Not that they recognize it as disfunctional, they mimic it because they think it is correct. Things like clothing, dirt, the method for cleaning things, all get way more attention than they ought to at my house. Bedtime is the most intense, they need water, teeth, pajamas, stories, songs, tucked in, on and on, in a very specific order and at very specific intervals. It is pretty funny to me, I cannot imagine that it is involuntary for them, I think it is learned behavior at thier age.

When my sister in-law drives, she can't drive over a manhole because it only goes under either the right of left tires. She hates to drive over anything that doesn't go under both the left and right side tires at the same time, like a speed bump or something. Weird....
