Jeep Jeep JK ABS/Speed sensor plug repair

I broke the locking tab off of a rear speed sensor before my HITR trip, so I ordered a new pigtail and tossed it in the glove box in case it gave me trouble. That gave me time to think about the process and how most people attempt this repair. Everything I found on YouTube was a splice repair. I didn't like that, so here's my tech for the day. It's also easier than a splice repair.

2-use a push pin to release the tiny black tabs thst hold the pins in place.

4-keep track of the orientation of the pins and which side they go back in.

5-push the pins into the new plug

6-push the white lock tab back in place

This was pretty quick and painless and doesn't hack up your factory wiring and risk corrosion or contamination. The pigtail harnesses can be found pretty cheap on Amazon.

Nice writeup Hickey. I don't understand why people think splicing is the best method. I guess if all you have is a hammer.

I've ordered lots of connectors from these guys to fix things that are often sold only as a pigtail from other retailers
