Other-
I bought this to replace the truck I owned previously, which was stolen and wrecked. It was a 1985 F-150, 390FE, 435, 205, D44, 9" w/4.11's on 35's with a 12K winch, 6" lift, and spools on both ends. Hell of a DD, eh?
This truck started life as an EFI302/AOD 4x2. When I got it, the 302 had 4 rods hanging out of the bottom of the block, so the motor came out and went right on the scrap pile and the trans went to a guy building an 83 T-bird.
I swapped the original 300/435/205 from the old truck into this one, and then rebuilt and swapped in a D44 front (the one from the last truck looked about like a twizzler after the wreck). Fortunately this truck had 3.5's as did the D44 I was swapping in, so I didn't have to touch the rear end.
Now I need to lift the rear end to level the truck out and lock at least one axle. At that point I'm going to call it good enough until I can buy a rig to use as a dedicated wheeler.
Still a 4x2 (September):
