Northern Utah Knolls

I just learned about Knolls and took a late afternoon trip out there to check it out. Awesome place! I was by myself so didn't do anything too gnarly, but it would be a blast to get a few out there and really be able to push and not worry about getting stuck. Anyone interested?

Were you in your 4x4? Was it the hills or the sand you were worried about?

I've never been out there on anything but a dirt bike.

Not really a great place for the 4x's.
Lots of sharp shale rock to kill tires.
Great place for the bike's and atvs though.
Every once in awhile the jets will buzz the mountain range.

Sand mostly, but after hiking a bit I found the shale @Rogue-One mentioned. Anyone know of dunes areas closer to SLC?

Little Sahara sand dunes in only 1.5 hours south of SLC, next to Delta. It's a blast in the winter when the sand is packed hard. Summer time most trucks won't make out out

I wouldn't mind going out to explore this place a bit more.
About 8yrs ago I took my YJ out there, my dad had the ATV's. We rode those alot but I did get some jeep time in the dunes, which was fun but always wanted to do more.
