manual grand cherokee

iam going to buy a manual grand cherokee and they said it has computer problems does any body know if a manual cherokee computer would work for it

I would have to think that it wouldn't. It would be looking for information from the auto that it wouldn't be receiving which would put the computer it to a limp mode.

it came stock with the manual and i think it shouldnt be different from the cherokee computer

Ya I read the first post wrong sorry. It might as long as they are both 4.0 and of the same year.

Google it, also ask on the ZJ specific forums. Also depends on which tranny it has, the AW4 or other models. You may even find someone parting a manual ZJ on the other forums, but I'm not allowed to post the link to a forum that I know you will find the answer on.

i will check the forums but this is the first grand cherokee with a manual i have ever seen
