Maxxis Tires Win 2004 UROC Pro National Finals Modified Class!!
Maxxis ROCKSTARS Win UROC (United Rock Crawling and Off-Road Challenge) Pro National Final in the Modified class on Maxxis tires! This is a big win for Maxxis tires and the second win for Maxxis tires this season with their new Creepy Crawler tire. The Maxxis Creepy Crawler has proven to be a winner with the traction needed to go anywhere and is available from selected dealers. Maxxis will also be releasing another new tire this year also specifically designed for rock crawling in a 17" rim size.
The win was Mike and Troy Bailey’s first win at the UROC Pro Nationals. Craig Stumph also has one win on Maxxis Creepy Crawler tires at the Sky’s Extreme Arena Rock Crawl. This was UROC’s first sanctioned arena rock crawl and the precursor for this years SuperCrawl World Championship arena rock crawl at Rocky Mountain Raceway in Salt Lake City in October.
This UROC Pro National final win is one of five ROCKSTARS team wins this year. Four wins have been at UROC and one at CalROCS. (California Off-Road Championship Series). Bob Standage is leading the CalROCS series for team ROCKSTARS and could wrap up the series points race in a couple weeks with a good showing. Bob has had three of the ROCKSTARS team wins this year.
ROCKSTARS are the worlds largest off road team and are consistent winners and top ten finishers in the sport of rock crawling. The title sponsor of the team is Maxxis Tires featuring the maximum traction Creep Crawler tire. The team is managed and owned by Craig Stumph the founder of UROC and the World Championship SuperCrawl. Other sponsors include Eaton Automotive, Motive Gear, Masterpull, Tom Wood’s Custom Drive Shafts, Allied Rockathon Beadlocks, Sway-A-Way and Howe Performance Power Steering (individual team members may have other sponsors in addition the listed official team sponsors).
