just got back from moab today with chadschoon. quite a trip. the first trail we hit up was prichett canyon. it was VERY windy and a little chilly at times. chad's exhaust melted a hole in his ARB line, so after some duct tape, a hose, a hose clamp, and some bailing wire, we got that fixed.
then at rocker knocker i noticed a wierd noise coming from my jeep.. i decided not to push it too much so after a few attempts and the noise getting worse i went to the bypass, and there my rear driveline came appart. long story short: both upper control arm brackets broke off my rear axle with my track bar, so we had to take off my driveline and rachet strap my brackets down to keep my axle from twisting too much. made our way back, with front wheel drive and chad winching me up a few places.
got into town to look for a welder to use or some place to help, but they were either closed or too busy.. chad posted on here that we needed help and Greg responded to the rescue! so we drove to colorado and Greg saved our trip (bless his heart). thanks again man! we were only up til around midnight fixing my jeep.. on our way back, chad about got mugged by some black guy at the gas station..
then the next day we ran into a hummer convoy, and also notajeep, on hells revenge. him and chad made their way up escalator. working on getting some pics posted soon. maybe chad will get some on too.
then on the way home, chad had to rip the fender off his trailer, and i got pulled over for no mudflaps and fender flares not big enough, in wellington! so there is $80 more in the hole.. it was a fun trip. one of these times we will make it through pritchett without anyone breaking down.
pics on the way..
