Started on my latest project, a family camper that is small enough to make it into some remote areas, but big enough to provide comfort for me the misses our 3 kids and the fur child.

13.5 long, 6'-4" wide and 5.5' tall. The roof will pivot on one end to open up for 3 more feet of head room and a upper queen bed for the kids.

35" tires, full size leaf springs, air bags, shocks all mated to a 3500 lbs axle with brakes

Skins on, the rear will have a full pull out kitchen below the queen bed. Stove, hot water and ARB fridge will all be onboard.

Looks awesome!

This is almost exactly what I have been thinking of starting. I would love to see it in person too some time. Keep posting so I can keep drooling!

It's by no means a trailer I plan to take on technical trails, more of a "base camp" trailer. The plan is to be able to use it on dirt roads my 08 Toyota Sequoia can handle.

I thinks it's perfect sized for hunting trails and using as a base camp trailer! Looks great! What has this cost you so far without doing the interior?

I'm trying to get all the trim done and the exterior finished so I can focus on the inside. The inside will have two queen sized bunk beds and two small bunk beds up front (that doubles as a couch.

The rear galley hatch is done. When open I will be able to pull out the kitchen.

The roof rack is installed, the air springs should be here this week. They will help to raise the roof.

The second photo is the front deck area that I plan to use to load my trail bike on.

Ok today I got the roof all trimmed. I opened and closed it to make sure it all worked and so far, so good!

Ok today was a big milestone, I got the lifting mechanism installed. This has been stressing me out for about two months. But after some good estimates and some scale drawings it turned out like a charm, I couldn't be happier.
