Modified Jeep Willys Chassis

Take your typical flatfender Jeep body and drivetrain and put it on this chassis for an improvement in strength and capability. The frame is boxed and lengthened to a 91" wheelbase. The wheelbase is the longest possible and still have the tires fully under the body.

It is sprung under the axle. The springs are 3" lift and attached with Dynatrac high clearance square ubolts. The front springs are reversed.

A battery box for an Optima is welded to a crossmember.

The shocks are new adjustable Rancho RS9000's.

The power steering box is new from AGR and has a ujoint coupler and a length of double-D steering shaft to work from.

The front axle is a Dana 30 from an early 80's CJ7. It has disk brakes, Warn chromoly shafts, Warn internal spline hubs, CTM ujoints, OX locker, 5.89 gears, and 5/8" rod end links.

The rear is a Dana 44 from an early 70's CJ5. It is offset to the passenger side to match a Spicer 18 transfer case. It has OEM 1 piece axle shafts, disk brakes with parking brakes, Detroit Gearless Locker, 5.89 gears, and Crane cover. The endplay is too much, and the axles will need to be re-shimmed.

$1500 for all.

It is located in Boise, but I can deliver the chassis as far as the Tremonton Interstate exit.
