my jeep wont turn off.

I have a 79cj5 that will not shut off sometimes, I replaced the key cylinder a while ago but it just started doing this.thanks for any help.

i changed the switch and it still doesnt run,it turns over fine but doesnt even pop.I think mabey ignition mod. may be bad? it ran fine when I turned it off and wouldnt even try to start when I went to start it again.

check all your positive connections. ALso check the connector at the baseof the column on the interior of the jeep.

now you say that,my positive connection on my starter relay was loose awhile ago and was sparking and got really hot, would that maybe had anything to do with it?
