i finaly got another bike i picked it up friday night its an 2001 ktm 520 mxc street legal kit havent gotten to ride it much but cant wait to get out this summer

i would like to check the valves i know what the gap should be but would like to find someone that can give me a hand with it

My understanding with the KTMs, they are like the Huskies. They have a set screw type adjusters instead of having shims. Should be pretty easy to check, just get it to TDC and adjust them there. Why do you want to check them? Is it hard to start? Or just preventive maintenance?

Looks like it will be a fun ride, you should get out with us when it dries up a little. :cool:

it starts pretty good id just like to know they are right it is a 10 year old bike i also have questions about the timing chain

me and my brother inlaw are trying to find some time next month to go to moab

went to the dunes yesterday we had a good time but i crashed 2 times and bent the fat bars with my chest
