you might be able to find trim paint in the same color? I have had pretty good look with trim paint sticking to plastic.

I had West Valley Tires patch a cut sidewall of a BFG back in the day. (I think they called it a "boot"?) They kinda did it under protest, since sidewall repairs are typically taboo, but it worked fine for a couple years after that.

I've had these booted before. They last for a while but is only a temp fix "that is why they frown on doing it" Get you by in Moab for a few days, the last for several months, no hard wheeling on it though...The only way to get one perfect is too vulcanize. They actually put the tire in an oven and remelt it I guess. Same theory as retreads. I hope its cheaper than buying too more SX's. I'll keep you all posted when I find a place... Thanks for the heads up though guys;)
I'll try IFA and see if they vulcanize Meat...

I'm not positive on the name of the place, but I think it is Commercial Tire on the 21st south and about 15th west, right next the Great Basin Volvo. I know they can vulcanize there, I delivered their machine.

I'll be the judge of that (pictures) Did you bend them the rest of the way into coils and then wrap them around the shock?
