Oil changes how often?

I do my Cruiser every 3k, dino oil

2003 Dodge Diesel - every 5000 miles dino oil

I have a little Kia that has been with me for about 24k, I add a quart every time the lifters start making noise. My first "change" was after I'd owned it for about 17k.
The others I usualy get to it between 5-8k.

change the filter once a year and add 1 quart a week. i dont even know where the drain plug is.
