edit: postponed for a few weeks perhaps.

I'm considering making a brief get-a-way from the snow to the sunny south of the state. Planning to do some mountainbiking near St George that Saturday morning followed by exploring over near Paria in the Jeep the rest of the weekend. This exploring all depends on getting new leaf springs installed by then.

I'm gathering info on places of interest including the Paria River Valley Rd with it's historic sights, the Johnson Canyon Rd w/ short hikes in Lick Wash (what kind of name is that anyway) or Willis Creek, and leaving the area out on Cottenwood Canyon Rd w/ a short hike through it's narrows then visiting Grosvenor Arch (?) before pounding pavement back to the cold Wasatch Front. Or something along those lines.

If you know the area or have suggestions or interest in tagging along please post up.

Be sure to check road conditions before you head out. A few of the roads like the Paria and Cottonwood Canyon can be impassible if there have been storms. There are a lot of areas around there that are sandy and not a problem if it's storming. Paria Plateau is a good alternate. There's no end of places to explore in the area.

You can Pm if you have any questions on the roads in the area.
