A good laugh while camping with a small group and being "invaded" by unwanted people...

From a guy in Canada!!

"Had a guy pull a houseboat up to "our cove". Boater got out, ran his anchor lines on either side of our camp fire, drove the pins in and got back into his boat despite my obvious escalating rage. Well, sometimes you need to analyze the situation and surroundings, adapt, and overcome. You simply make a fire at the other end of the cove, park your truck far enough away so the gentle bumping of the winch gets muffled by the lapping waves that are rocking the invader gently to sleep. You get to explain to the house-boater in the morning that his boat is beached 25 feet up because the lake you are on is connected to the Pacific by a large river (about 400 miles of river) and he anchored at high tide. You then get to learn many things about your invader, you get to hear him curse out the houseboat rental company on the radio, you get to see his reaction when he does not believe the guy in the service boat that there really are no tides in the lake, but here's the best part. After the tug boat operator is paid for returning his vessel from dry dock and he's about 30 feet from the shore and fuming mad, you get to remind him of his absolute rudeness when he anchored, point to the front of your truck and let him know exactly who was in charge of the tides last night! Man I had to scramble to get out of there!"
