Question about tranny cooler lines

Location

I need to plumb my tranny cooler for the motor swap on my YJ. All the factory coolers I have seen use hard lines but is there any reason I couldn't run soft lines instead? It would be much easier and makes working it down the road so much easier as well.

Either will do. Most use a mixture of the two. I have ran soft lines on everything I have done. Haven’t had a problem. Just need to make sure you aren’t smashing the hose or causing a spot it can rub threw when mounting.

Braided steel rubber lines would offer a bit more abrasion resistance and protect the lines even better, but at a higher cost.

I think I could run both lines inside my frame rails actually. I'll know soon as I get back in town on Tuesday. Until then all I can do is order parts and do my research.
