Question for law enforcement

I see people pull over to the left on the freeway a lot. I always thought this was illegal. What is the correct thing to do if I'm in the HOV lane and Johnnylaw lights me up? Pull all the way to the right? What about that double white that isn't supposed to be crossed, are all bets off with the red & blues on?

I haven't been stopped or anything like that just want to know for if and when.

I went to the left once when I was pulled over, the officer said go to the right next time. (let me off with a warning )

I wouldn't worry about double white lines for the car pool no one pays attention to them anyway.

Your supposed to move to the right shoulder immediately for all emergency vehicles. My guess this also means if you are in the HOV lane illegally.

I would think the possibility of a ticket goes up astronomically if you piss the officer off. Pull left if you like.

Pull right, and pick a spot with enough room for you and the cop to be out of traffic... people seem to be drawn to those flashing lights.
