Ram assist install ++ Write up

so im at work and bored so i thought i would do a write up for you guys on my ram assist adventure this past week

so here we go

this is what im running, 6 shooter knucker, 30 longs and 4x4labs 6 stud hy steer ( the first pair, prototypes if you will)

started with some bent tube
and what i got

the hard part was trying to get a bracket up in here to get the ram mounted, after fandagaling around i figured out a solution

i had to twist the tube and re weld it as you can see

i held up the ram and bungee rcorded it in to place of where it would be best and not damaged.

tacked the tabs in place. as you can see i didint have much room to work with

i then installed the ram and then turned the wheel side to side to make sure that i had clearance and that the ram turn with enough room left to right. i marked and moved the tabs a little

once i had that figured out i burned them into place cleaned them up and painted them

then put the box in and then the ram

while i was at it i installed some diff protection

finally i routed the hoses the way i wanted to get them out of harms way and thats about it

hard to see with tiny pics but you get the idea

i got the ram kit from trail gear an dhe box was done at rock logic
