So I bought a rebuilt AMC 360 and was going to check the compression on it tonight and it will only rotate a 1/4 turn then it sticks??? I flipped it and pulled the oil pan and don't see anything obvious. Any idea's of what could be hitting??
Look at the flywheel end of the crank. Some guys use a longer than usual bolt in there to hold the crank from turning while installing the vibration dampner.
I once found a rod installed backwards on a rebuilt, never run 350 chev. This caused it to not turn over. Unknown if that could be a possibility on a AMC.
Talked with the guy i bought it from and he spoke with the shop that rebuilt it, they said they will fully stand by everything so i'm having them look at it... Thanks for all the good input...
