RME lawn treatment specialists?

Now that spring thinks it is here, I have decided that I want a green lawn this year. In the past, I haven't been very successful on my own - My front yard is not too bad, but my backyard shares one side with an open, non-maintained field, and another side with a non-maintained neighbors yard via chain-link fence... My yard was also very poorly maintained before I owned the home.

What I'm looking for is an RME'er that knows their grass.;) Anybody on here do chemical lawn treatments, or know someone in the business?

I'm no specialist, but I worked at a golf course for three years and applied a lot of different fertilizers. I love IFA's four step lawn treatment. I've never had a greener lawn than when I followed this program.

How long did it take to see results? We used it an saw results right away but the nothing happened, we ended up going with some Scott's stuff and that really made a difference. It's hard to get a good set up at are place sjnce there is very little top soil

I'm in Kaysville but I decided the same thing, my lawn looked like crap. My pride was hurt but my wife said she called Fradsham Lawns and last year was the best it's looked in 15 years. They also told me I needed to leave it longer in July and August because of the heat. I can find a number for someone if needed but I don't think they go out of Davis County.

It has greened up my lawn early, and kept it green all year. Generally, I keep my lawn a bit longer than most I think around three inches. You can start to build up more topsoil. I would get compost (I love nutri-mulch) but down here I can just go grab a truckload and spread it thin on my yard. As it works into your soil over time it will improve your soil. I only water at night and am very vigilant about providing the right amount of water at the right time.

This also works for me, IFA, but use as directed. You could also have your soil checked because every area is different.

I do not use any liquid fertilizers, and I buy all of my products from Lesco. I have won best yard in my neighborhood for three years, and i do not try that hard. It is all about how you mow, when you fertilize and weed prep. It is not hard. I do not charge anything for consulting or inspection. I am a farmer by life and growing green grass is just a fun process for me.
