Thought that was kind of funny.

I know Shmosmith made his sliders for his samurai i think he copied RRO's design. ask him.

4x4 x.250 would be a nice beefy size. I've actualy got some 4x3x.250 that I have been meening to put on. Feel free to copy they shrokworks design, its pretty easy to make. You don't even need to mount it to the frame, just use some long bolts and drill though to the interior(that way you won't even need to weld anything, but whats the fun in that?).

I had 2x4x1/8 sliders on my toyota years ago with 2x2x1/8 legs and they held up okay. A friend is running them still and they are not beat up to bad.

Switch to a set of round 1.5x1/8 sliders and dented the piss out of them (round tube less than 0.25 sucks on sliders IMO)

Now I went back to 2x4 and 2x2 legs but went 1/4 wall and these are damn stout! I have landed on them hard and they take the beating. They are heavy and probably overkill (I wanted 3/16", but this is all they had) but that's good for what they are.

AHH one of the applications where poo pipe is great to use....get yourself some SCH-40 and go nuts. That stuff can take rock hits like no other until it starts to crack and splinter!!

the schrock-works design is sweet...I like the RRO ones too. Schmoe made some nice ones drop him a line...he is in SLC!

I think that you should give Lee Mattingly a call. I am pretty sure that he would be able to hook you up, or even help you out with some ideas! If you want his number let me know!

I'm a round tube kinda guy. sch 40 brased with three legs. across about 4.5 feet. I had two legs and it finally broke my booger welds to the frame.
NC zuk runs those schrock works sliders. I don't know if he has used em much?

mine look like the RRO sliders, but mount different...anyone that has wheeled with me knows I beat the living sh** outa those rails and they have always held up great (no lift causes heavy abuse to those rails on trails like rattlesnake and mineral basin). I dont know if my mounting would work with a YJ kit or shackle reversal (if you are running either of those) I used 1.5" X 2" with a 3/16 or 1/4" wall thickness (cant remember which). the smaller profile of the rail make the walls harder to crush in and it helps prevent you from losing clearance under your rocker...mine cost me about $50 for steel, welding tips and a small spool of fluxcore....heres a picture of how well they fit

I use 4x3 3/8 angle (1/4 inch is just to damn heavy and 1/8 is to light duty) on my scrambler. With only a 4" lift and 104" wheelbase I hit these things HARD and I mean hard all the time... Not a single dent in them. They are scratched to heck and dont look as good as tube but last a hell of alot longer. They take up less space than tube witch leads to more clearance and less hitting. If looks are importent use poo pipe. If you want somthing that takes more abuse and has a little better clearance use angle.... Poo pipe sure does look better thoagh...
