Rubicon Build...Rebuild

Well, I thought it was time to start a thread on my current project. This is going to be the second build on the jeep. The first build consisted of 37" krawlers, coilovers front and coils in the rear. The wheelbase was around 100"
The jeep worked great and I really liked it.
The next phase all started when I decided I needed a new cage. BHR built the new cage and I had the tub lined. After looking around the shop, some of my buddies rigs, and reasearching I made up my mind I was going to do a "simple" 1 ton axle swap. Since then I've been gathering parts and doing what I can with what I've got. This is going to be my first major project and is going to be pretty slow, so be patient with me. I'm also open to any criticism or advice.

Here is the new plan and what I have so far.

HP ford 60 front, yukon shafts, lonfield u-joints summit machine flanges
GM 14 bolt rear discs
4-link rear BHR brackets and tabs, 14" coilovers
3-link front BHR brackets, 14" coilovers
full hydro steering howe single ended ram
40" comp. creepies/ all black walker wheels wide rings
Wheelbase around 108" or where ever it ends up.

Right now I'm waiting for links, brackets, truss from BHR, I'm going to start with the rear and try to get it finished before I move to the front.

I'll be working with BHR for all my brackets and parts, they have been a great help so far and I will continue with them for products and advice.
Ok I think that finally sums most of it up. I'll try to post pics of where I'm at so far.

First Mod, PSC tube fenders

I'm not sure if I'll be keeping these or not, I'm thinking of cutting the hood for clearence and some type of tube fender. A couple of pics, after the first build. I think I might have some build pics of the first build somewhere on here.

Pics of rebuild, what I have so far.

Front axle, Tires, jeep on stands and tore down, rear 14 bolt. I'll post more pics later, I still need to cut some brackets off and some other little stuff before I get the links and brackets.

sounds great, but i don't think it will stay just a "simple" 1 ton swap. they never are but good luck.

LOL yeah thats why the quotes are there, I've realized I have alot of work ahead of me. It might take me longer than most but I'll get it done, I'm pretty determined, patient, and want to do it right.
thanks.

Ha! I think I was the one who bought your Rubi rims off you a couple years ago. I remember your jeep being really clean. Good luck with the build!

Update..

Well not exactly. Just wanted to say I love cutting off brackets  And that Harbor Freight cut off wheels are excellent! I think the best one in the pack lasted under a minute before disintegrating.
