Rust Removal

Bought a bunch of 2 inch square tubing that is pretty rusty. Any good ideas on how to remove the rust other that grinding?

It's available at home depot, and is pretty harsh on the lungs... so you know it's good stuff right? :-\

Diesel or wd40 and steel wool works good.

Wire Wheel cleaner steel wool and wear gloves.

Navel Jelly works as well.

I was told by a journeyman at US MAG that you just turn up the amperage and burn it out
The entire plant is covered with extreme rust from the chlorine and acid:-\
That place was a little strange

Rust is cool--I'd just leave it :greg:

I prefer to use a flapper wheel or flap disk. They work quickly and you don't have to burn out any left over residue the way you do with some chemicals.
