it was a fun and intense day, had a few people get stuck, few scratches here and there, one tacoma got beat like non other, but at the end everybody was happy and ready to head home. my truck did really good, better then what i was expecting, no body damage no scratches except branches. cant wait for another run.

we had a jeep in our group that almost rolled... vid at the very bottom

glad you guys had fun! Did anyone make it up the spot where the jeep almost rolled?
Box Rocket did but he stuck there for awhile he was on his 3rd member with both rear barely touching the ground and he couldn't back up, then another one went up but he took a different line and got up with no problem

Looks like a fun time! Did anyone make it up the spot where the jeep almost rolled?

I did, first attempt too, see the video. But, the day was not without a bit of bumper damage from a lack of bump stops and my transfer case linkage popped out, have pictures of that as well. Also fell and scraped my arm up. I'm very surprised it did not blow my front tire with that jagged steel. Met a lot of cool people and the weather was perfect.

Yeah the far left line with the driverside up on top of the rocks was the best line. That's the line the white Tacoma and BlackZJ took. I had my driverside down in the hole inside of those rocks on the left and it was more of a challenge. Some rock stacking by the group was all I needed (thanks everyone) and I made it out, after i chewed up my rim. :)

Although Jeeps sometimes make things look "easier", I still think a double cab Tacoma is one of the best all around vehicles out there, just wish they didn't hold their value so well so we could buy one.

I don't know that there's a factory rig out there than can compete with the higher end Wranglers in terms of sheer rock-crawly prowess, but yeah, 3rd gen 4Runners and 1st gen DC Tacos may be the tops in terms of total package in factory trim. I wish I could afford a Taco too. :(

Nice wheeling pics, guys, looks like it was a great time. I wish I hadn't been working, I'd have loved to join. How many of you are going to be up the Canyon next weekend?
