Shop battery thread?

I though there was a thread here about what 12v automotive would make a good "shop" battery, but I can't seem to find it. If there isn't one what battery would you guys recommend? I need a battery that I can transfer from rig to rig for trouble shooting and such. One that has good cranking amps and can hold up to constant draining and charging and other abuse. Yellow top maybe? what are your guys' opinion?

I just bought a yellow top about a year and a half ago. It is dead. Optima will not be going back in. I'm looking and a sears die hard/odyssey battery currently

Red top work great. All our buggies have them. Have a few that are 7 years old.

Ran Red top batteries in the powerstroke and they bubbled up and froze after sitting in the winter for 3 months.

Hit or miss with Optima, might have something to do with over charging them?

Maintenance free gel batteries are nice, especially any postion mounting.

<---- Likes Optimas. 2 in my 40, 2 in my 100, 1 in the forklift... all working nicely. I like Odysseys as well but I wouldn't use them for a shop battery.
