Skyline drive/Fairview canyon area. Anyone been there lately?

The last week of this month we are going to go to Fairview canyon area. We usually camp about a half mile away from that bathroom you see as soon as you make the left to go to skyline drive.

I am curious if they have outlawed camp fires up there this year, and or how the weather has been?

What areas have the best fishing this time of the year?

Campfires only in improved, designated sites. So no campfires there.

Either way, damn. I hate sitting around a lantern, its just not the same.

Goosberry can be good for fishing this time of year. Boulger Reservoir is also good for stockers. I would avoid Electric Lake. Fairview Lakes has also been pretty spotty this year.

No, I meant improved. As in developed, improved upon the natural condition by construction of tent pads, fire rings, etc.

I was up there today and there were signs everywhere that said no campfires anywhere.

Last year I fished eletric lake and my dad, my brother and I caught 12 in about 3 hours, but dont know how its doin this year.
