St. George Trip

Just got my copy of the compass this past week, and it says the spring trip will be in st. george. and to check the u4wda website for details and there was nothing posted yet . Just wondering what is planned, trails, etc. I just need to get the time off and the sooner I know what were doing the better. Thanks

We are trying to get all of our quarterly events on a regular schedule, the 1st weekend of the 2nd (Feb), 5th (May), 8th (Aug), and 11th (Nov) months... This is a basic guideline, any changes will be well noted.

Trails

Here is a list of the trails most are at the Hurricane Sand Dunes/Sand Hollow for the non locals.


#1 Milt's Mile rated a 3 1/2 with by passes This starts near Sand Hollow
State Park and ends on the middle part of the Sand Dunes. So with this
trail there will be sand dune run included.

#2 Slip Lock This trail is rated a 4 and has by passes. This is a
challenging wash with waterfalls and undercuts with soft sand and ledges.
Challenging in most vehicles and definetly a fun trail. This also ends and
begins with some sand. At the beggining of Slip Lock there with be a fun
warm up run over one of the many fault lines in the area, with some fun
off camber and real steep climbs and down grades. Fun spots for wheel lift and suspension travel.

#3 West Rim Trail, Rating 3 This is a more scenic yet fun and challenging
trail that most stock vehicles can do, depending on the driver. This is
along the edge of the Cliffs overlooking St George and Surrounding areas.
This trail passes through the Rock Garden with some fun adventures that
are more challenging to keep even the experienced and well built rig busy.
This trail ends at the Bowl on the Main part of the Sand Dunes.

#4 Skull Canyon in Cedar City. For those that wanted a Buggy worthy trail this will be in Cedar City. For those that want to stay in Cedar City Friday
Night and wheel Saturday this is the trail. If you plan on Staying in St.
George there will be some locals from here driving to Cedar City in the
Morning. You can caravan. Also only buggy's and fully built locked rigs
will be allowed on this trail. This is for the serious only.

Yes of course you will need the 22' long flag.

What about a trail called Ash Creek, also known as the wrecking yard is that available also?

That is not going to be a run this time. There was a large flood through there and I have been told its not pretty right now. Send me a pm
