steering box on high steer

My steering box is as far forward as possible, and I had enough. There is a connection in the middle of the steering shaft that is held in place by plastic that you MAY need to melt in order to get a little extra length.

What year is your truck? My 79 didn't have a slip yoke in the steering shaft so I got a later one that worked just fine...

The steering shaft may have been swapped as well, but my truck is an 85. I have heard that some shafts don't have the slip...
