Stuck truck in Butterfield Canyon needs removal before snowfall

Just relaying info, and don't know many details.....

Dodge truck stuck up Butterfield canyon chained to a tree so it doesn't roll down the hill.

Needs help with the removal before the snow falls.

Depends on timing for willing/prepared rigs (ones with winches...) but I am ready to help however I can.

PM me if you are interested in helping, and I can get you the truck owner's info.

Depending on when you go up I should be able to come up from the other side of the mountain Have a winch on the XJ and about 100+ feet of strap and a ton of chain.

I live about 5 mins from Butterfields and have a capable rig (no winch though). I'm sure I can get up there after work today if more hands are needed.

He's slid off side of road , on top. He says he is on a side road south of the lookout. Gate is supposedly locked on bottom but he can get a key for the gate. Also says there are concrete barricades in road on top where asphalt ends. He gets off work at 2:00.

uh, there's no gate on the Tooele side. Just Jersey Barriers blocking the way. I believe they block the actual pass these days as well.

Access is going to have to be from the Salt Lake side of the mountains.
