Summit Machine June trail run

Saturday June 23rd. American Fork Canyon. Forest Lake.

WE will be meeting in the Tibble Fork parking lot around 10:00 AM. We will provide snacks for those who want them.

Come on out it should be pretty, and cooler than the desert.

Not rough at all. It's a fun, scenic trail.

My last post on this topic was eaten by the gremlins...

Utah 4x4 Club will be doing a service project on the Forest Lake Road on 6/23, the same day as your scheduled run. They will have the road partially blocked in some locations for maintenance/fence work, and there will be excessive traffic going up and down the road to move supplies and trash.

You might consider changing plans by choosing a different date or a different trail such as Mineral Basin.

I have never done the Mineral Basin trail, what's it like and how does everyone else feel about the change?

Portions of the Mineral Basin trail are more technical than Forest Lake, and the trail is longer. Both are enjoyable.

The problem with Mineral Basin is that there isn't a lot of room at the top without going onto Snowbird.
