Swapping Interior Parts.

I have a friend that is looking at getting a jeep wrangler. He came across a descent deal on a YJ, but doesn't like the interior of the YJ and would prefer a TJ interior. Of course the seats and carpet have aftermarket stuff, but what he would like to do is swap out the YJ dashboard for a TJ dashboard.
Is this possible? I know that some changes were made to the tube when the went from the leaf springs to coil springs. Did the make changes in how the dashboard was attached?

Personal preference here, but I would rather go YJ dash to CJ than YJ to TJ. Our TJ feels like a minivan
