Thats what I told my wife when we were planning this remodel. "Do you want it done well but it'll take a month, or do you want it done quickly for a lot of money and hear me complain about all the problems?"

Next time there's a tile project in a bathroom it will be in a new build and I'll just pop in to bitch out the contractor for ****ing up my tile floor. Ugh.

Lippage is definitely a huge issue with smaller tiles, at least in my experience.

Black grout, ugh! What a mess that makes.
Big shout out to @bobn for helping rinse all the ink black sponges while I applied that volcanic sand.
Looks pretty good. I swear I'll never tile anything bigger than a backsplash ever again, though.

Looks good. I can imagine that’s a mess with black grout, but it will never look dirty like the lighter grout’s can. Especially in a shower.

Working on the cabinet reinstall now. Had to run to Home Despot for shims, which made me feel a little bad about the tile leveling… until I saw the tile job in the Home Despot restroom.
