Tj battery Temp sensor

Ive got a check engine light on in a 97 jeep tj and it is reading Ambient/Battery Temp Sensor input voltage too low. Anybody know what or where this is located? It wont clear the light till i fix it. Any help would be great! Thanks

Assuming it's the same as on the Rams, it's under the battery snapped into the battery tray. After pulling the battery, you'll see a small round part that is spring loaded to keep it against the bottom of the battery. The vehicle computer considers the battery temperature when regulating the alternator voltage, when the battery is warm the charging voltage is reduced.
