Trail Talk Topic - Survival: Edible Plants in the Rocky Mountain Region

Here's a topic I've been curious about for a while... surviving in the middle of nowhere after running out of food supplies. I know this information is pretty available on many sites, but I haven't seen it broken down for a specific region.

What plants local to our region are safe to eat and which ones are poisonous or deadly?

Here's a few I've come across:

SAFE

Clover Edibility: Raw and/or boiled	Purslane Edibility: leaves; sour taste | raw or boiled
Burdock Edibility: leaves, peeled stalks | raw or boiled	Dandelion Edibility: Entire plant | Raw; Boil to remove bitterness

Let's see some more! And as always - do your research before entrusting any info posted. There's always the chance of allergic reactions and such.
