What would easier?, pulling the t-case and send it the shop, or cracking the case and replacing part as needed while the unit is still in the vehicle. Chain let loss on the trail yesterday, oh it's a 231..

Thanks for any info..

Working on the case out of the vehicle is always easier and cheaper BUT it is possible to do it in the vehicle...

Anything is possible if you swear at it enough... -_- ;)

1 driveshaft, a slip yoke, 6 bolts and a skidplate if you take it off. Then a dozen easily reached bolts (once it's off) to take it apart...
Probably a slip yoke, skidplate, and a dozen hard to reach bolts if you don't...
