as long as the 700 didn;t come behind a 60* V6 (2.8, 3.4, etc) other wise yes it would and actually came stock in some 4.3L S-10s...you might need to have the PROM reworked or make sure to get a PROM form a manual tranny Vortec cuase otherwise the comp is going to wanna control the tranny and the 700 isn;t comp controlled

basically its the chip for your computer...it controls all your sensors and timing and etc...

You could get a 4L60E if you wanted it to be computer controlled along with your 4.3.

yep, 700R4=4L60E but the 4L60E is computer controlled...if you are going with that new of an engine you can easily find a PROM form an auto combo and jsut use the 4L60E...
