Dang, this looks like a lot of fun was had by all, wish I could have made it.

So does anyone know what transmission is mated to this Subaru motor in Todd's rig? That thing looks like a lot of fun!

I'm 95% sure it's a Powerglide. The rig works amazingly well. It's for sale, cheap.

Very nice pics and reporting thus far. Where is that dune jump at? And, forgive my ignorance, but why was it essential for the driver in the first video above to shut his motor off after he rolled?

The last time I wheeled with him, maybe 2-3 years ago it was a subaru automatic, maybe a legacy if I remember?

I met up with Meat and Bodine and went to dinner with them and a bunch of the U4 people. I finally got to meet Steve Edmunds there and saw JoJo on the other end of the table, but never really introduced myself.

After a great steak and shrimp dinner Meat dropped me off at my camper where I spent the night outside the staging area.
What a great dinner it was.... Gotta make sure we stop there next year.

And it was great to meet Bart and everyone else that stopped by for a great dinner.

It was on the way out of John's Trail. There's a fairly significant amount of dunes around out there.

The way it worked out I was in St George that weekend, but saw not able to make any of the trail rides. But I did walk around Saturday morning and take some parking lot photos. So here you go, hard core parking lot wheeling

It was cool to see the number of rigs, and the mix of buggies to stock vehicles all out to enjoy their day.

My first thought was too bad I didn't see you to say hi.... then I see how close you were in this picture and I feel bad that I didn't see you and say hi.

There were plenty of open seats if that was the reason you didn't get out on a trail...

On Friday we had 89 rigs signed up, Saturday was well over 100
