Wanted: Jeep T-176 trans

Hi there, I am looking for a jeep T-176 4 spd. trans. that would have been behind a V-8, in a 72-83 CJ 7 or 8. Does not have to be in good shape, but rebuildable. In other words not run out of oil. Willing to pay a reasonable price. Please call 8013554261 or 8019130882 and ask for Larry.

Hi Larry,
you might want to specify what T case you would like to run. by asking for the t-176 I am guessing a dana 300, but if someone was going to offer something that "might" work for you the t case would narrow the offers...

For instance, I have a NP435 which is actually a 3/4 ton Ford tranny with the granny low first gear that will bolt to your AMC V8, but you would need to adapted it to what ever T-case you were running because it is currently set up for ford 205...

Side note the NP 435 with a Dana 300 would be a mean wheeling combination that would hold up to a healthy V8 and I would swing you a screaming deal to get it out of my shop....

I have a t-176 from an 80 CJ. It shifts fine from what I recall. I would let it go for $200.00 Pm me if you are interested.
