Wheel spacer problem???

I bought and installed a set of wheels on my TJ not realizing how narrow the backspacing was. They are Factory or close to it, my other set is offset quite a bit more and I like it that way. Seems like its easier to keep the rockers away from large obstacles and of course wider=more stable. So I bought a set of wheel spacers and I don't like how they fit. Looks like they will work just fine with an aluminum wheel that is machined flat on the back but the steel wheel have a concave mounting surface. The center hole will sit flat on the spacer but I don't like where the outer edge of the spacer sits on the wheel. Am I being too picky? Are there any vehicles that the wheel mount surface is only as big as the face of these spacers? Anyone else ever ran into this? Would you try them?

I have a set of almost new Spidertrax 1.25in spacers that need a new home if you are not comfortable with running the ones you have, but you should drive it with the ones you have first to see if there is any wobble or excessive vibrations.
