Which Free Video Editor do you use?

I am just curious what video Editors you use to make videos of all the misc files you end up with from a trip? I have down loaded a few without luck... like most people Its not something I want to have to pay for... any ideas?

I don't use a free one I use Adobe Premiere Pro.

free for PC:
Windows movie maker (XP)
Windows Live movie maker (W7)


free for mac:
imovie

i have "windows live movie maker" on my computer, it came with windows 7, it seems to rock other than importing vids can take some time.

Importing has very little to do with the editor and a lot more to do with the power of your computer. With video editing, more is always better (more memory, more cpu, more hdd speed, etc all help).

I've used Windows Movie Maker twice now, and after a little research it's done everything I wanted it to do.

I use youtube. I down load my clips and then combine them how I want them. I suppose it is only good if you keep it there. That way anyone that wants to can watch it or you can keep it private also.

good point, my pc doesn't handle it so well, but on my laptop it loves it, but my vid card died so its pc only for now
