Another fantastic Moab EJS on two wheels with great pals! We rocked over 250 miles of riding and some epic roads and single-track trails. It was great catching up with many friends at the vendor show.

A great deal of our riding was spent visiting recently closed routes (Hey Joe Canyon, Spring Canyon South, Hellroaring Canyon) 😪 as well as historic routes the BLM will be closing soon (Copper Ridge routes, Dead Cow Wash, Tube, Tenmile Wash, Red Wash), beyond frustrating.

We dropped our bikes a combined 100+ times, are sore and tired, and smiling ear to ear.

You rode your 690 up dead cow wash? Nice work

We ran it clockwise fwiw. There were some obstacles easier going down them and some that would have been easier going down but overall I think clockwise is easier. We also went up the overlook climbs which was a bit sketch on that big heavy bike but I lived to share pictures. The big girl barely fit through some of the narrow rock sections.

Do remember this gnarly (imo) climb on the Sovereign Trails? We went up it on our 2013 weekend of riding? I took the big beast down that. There is a rock gap at the top that it barely squeezed through :D

I thought Dead cow and Tubes were already closed??? We were there last weekend and would have rode them!

Nope, still wide open and signed for motorized use.

Closures are rolling out. Tenmile is also open at current. Sadly HJC, Hellroaring Canyon, Spring Canyon south have officially been closed. Some of the Spring Canyon and Hellroaring overlooks are also already closed.
