I'm afraid to ask how much that's going to run you but I want to know how much that's going to run you. Do you have an outfit handling all the import stuff or are you doing all that yourself?
Located it using the tour operator and guide I had back in May.

They are also handling the shipping arrangements ($3,500 to LA).

Actual form for import seem surprisingly simple, enough so to make me worry was missing something.

Ended up deciding to use a customs agent to handle things, especially getting it through customs on arrival, provide storage until can get it transported here etc. And they will do the paperwork.

That runs about $3,000 as well.

That doesn’t sound too complicated. Somebody should start a business importing Land Cruisers. What could go wrong?

The problem isn't sorting the logistics or important. It's sorting that AND finding clean Cruisers. Many (most) that get imported, are rough under the paint. Lots of rough repairs that are common in developing nations but can be costly to repair correctly in the US. I've got a half dozen imports, when properly vetted, they rock!
