2007 to 2011 Jk tub and frame

I've seen this "builder" JK in person and it's incredible. I saw on KSL the price has been lowered to $10k... http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=17132306&cat=402&lpid=17&search=

Toyota Thinking about picking up an FJ Cruiser...

My wife has a 2010 FJ Cruiser that we bought new over a year ago. She has liked it a lot (she had a Nissan Armada and several 1999-2004 Grand Cherokee's before the FJ). Here's a rundown of the good/bad I've noticed: Good... -They get pretty decent fuel mileage for what they are (most...

Toyota FJ 62 Land Cruzier Build

I built a FJ-62 a few years ago that had the following: -Alcan Springs built for a spring-over with 1" lift -Spring-over with shackle-reversal and cut/turn front axle -37" MTR's At the end of the day, I wish I would have gotten a set of OME's from Kurt and saved myself a couple years of...

    JK bumper opinions

I've had a few Expedition One bumper's (fronts and rears) and they're very nice. The closing system on their rear JK is awesome. The quality is top-notch and they're local. Here's a good video on their install/features for the rear JK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzHZqC2Ml3A

    Pritchett Canyon

Problem here, where Walker claims the tracks were in the pic... he wasn't the first person to drive it in his group. Those who have seen the pics, it was the teal/aluminum YJ. Walker went second, then the black YJ, red CJ, black buggy, grey TJ and then the black JK. That's the order the pics...

    Pritchett Canyon

I took the pictures that are mentioned a couple of posts above. It was sickening to watch this happen. I don't know the trail incredibly well, but I knew that wasn't a bypass/obstacle. As I was taking the pictures, I kept thinking how this could bite the rest of us responsible trail users in...

    Nissan Armada

Gas mileage is a big win for GM. Our Armada and QX both suck in the gas mileage department. We can take a trip with my brother (2002 Suburban Z-71) or my dad (2008 Avalanche) and they will get 20 mpg... we get 16 tops it seems. Around town, we get 12-13, so that's a definite bonus on the GM...

    Nissan Armada

I owned a 2004 Armada and now have an Infiniti QX56 (same vehicle, shiny rims). My brother also owned a Nissan Titan. I've towed with all three and they do pretty dang good. I was impressed with the power and the transmission (5-speed auto). I would definitely want trailer brakes and a good...

Braking Death Wobble on a Super Duty

Problem Solved! So it took a while, but the wobble is gone. We replaced the ball joints first (replacing them helped significantly, but still had some wobble when braking). Turning the front rotors took it away completely. Thanks to all who gave input.

So there's this huge elephant in the living room...

We used to get a "rack" price that included other brands (we were a Phillips 66 at the time and are now Conoco Phillips). Those prices seemed to be within a few cents of each other (Flying J was usually the lowest). I would imagine buying power/quantities is reflected in the rack price. I...

So there's this huge elephant in the living room...

Kurt, I can tell you what the "rack" price is today on buying gas: $3.388 for regular unleaded (we are retailing at $3.459). There is more markup in the mid-grade and premium ($.05 more for mid and $.10 more for premium). So, the short of it is we are going to sell gas for a 2% profit margin...

Braking Death Wobble on a Super Duty

We're going to do the rotors this week (I'll check everything else while we're in there). Thanks.

Braking Death Wobble on a Super Duty

I have an '02 Ford F-250 Super Duty with over 200k miles. When I use the brakes (usually at 30-50 mph) it starts to shimmy/death wobble pretty good. I can control it by holding the steering wheel tight. I had the brake pads replaced on the front (they were pretty much gone) and it didn't...
