Yep. The stock mounts are rock anchors. One of my first few mods is to move the lowers mount up. I heard they will be available January 2017. Maybe some of locals can get there hands on them earlier.....hint..hint....!

I have had 2 different JK'S for 5 years. Never tore up a rear shock. But I raised my lower mount 3 inches. I have heard of people backing up and hitting them. Unless you are getting crazy I don't think it would be a problem.

Good deal. I forgot about the newer ones having the 5 speed auto. I definitely like the new motor in my 15 compared to the 07. Even the wife gets carried away with hot rodding it some times and i have to tell her to simmer down! Plus the fact that I am running 5:13's with the 35s on a manual...

Shock upgrade?

Superb build! May have to change build plans on my second jeep now. On the tranny temp. Have you had many warning at 175? My old 07 auto ran that on average. Usally 200-210 on grades. Used the torque app to monitor it. I think the hot oil light comes on at 240. Not sure if it changed on the 12+...

They didnt clean him up at the ER till after the stiches, I had to ask them if they where going to do it. Still really not sure how the gash happened. He crashed on the left side but his right brake lever was broken. He wears glasses and it smashed them up so they could have cause the cut also.

Well my son took a really bad spill. Concussion and 2 layers of about 40 stiches and a broken thumb. Helmet was split and chunked up. Hate to think how bad it might have been if he didnt have it on. Good thing is he is already asking for a full face helmet for when he gets back on the bike.
